Cosplay Gallifrey
It all started at All-Con.
Ever since I first moved to Texas, I started going to Cons, trying to make my way around the con scene.  It wasn't until I went to a real con, that I learned the difference between what a dinky comic book show could be and what a real con was and is.

My first exposure to this was Dallas Comicon, and when I went, I had my first experience with Cosplay.  My first experience was ugly.  I was passed over, for a younger, better looking, better put together model.

I decided at that point I would meet real cosplayers and learn from them.

That wouild prove more difficult than you can imagine.

Cosplay is an initiation.  It begins, easily enough with the desire to cosplay a character, which soon becomes an obsession in creativity and sometimes authenticity.

Cosplaying for me, began when I started asking Cosplayers to help me.  Many of them were very helpful, others were downright tight lipped.

Every year I cosplay I meet a new cosplayer. Each Cosplayer I meet is a wonder to behold.  Watching them, and learning from them, is a bit of a puzzle.  Each Cosplayer is different.  Let's make it utterly clear, there are several types, but each cosplayer can be divided into one of two groups.  Elites and Joyfuls.

The Joyful Cosplayer is someone who could give a rats ass about their costume's sacrosanctness.

The Elite Cosplayer is someone who pretends to be Joyful, but deep down will pull out the Elitism card and throw it at a moments notice, just like Gambit and straight at your heart.

The Birth of Cosplay Gallifrey

Cosplay Gallifrey was born out of All-Con.  It began when I had first  met three very talented Cosplayers.  Each of these cosplayers was very talented, and they agreed post All-Con to be part of Cosplay Gallifrey.  The Future of Cosplay Gallifrey was to be defined every year the organization was in existence.
